I get an error saying I have connection problems when I try to activate Bit Optimizer

In order to activate Bit Optimizer you must connect with licensing servers so they can verify your license key is valid. If you are getting an error saying there is no valid connection, but your internet connection is working correctly, Bit Optimizer may be blocked from connecting.

Please check any firewalls or security programs that may be monitoring your internet use, and make sure they are not blocking Bit Optimizer. If you are using the Windows firewall, please find instructions on how to disable it below.

Windows 10:

1. Click in the box titled "Ask Me Anything" located near the Start Button in the lower left corner of your screen
2. Type Firewall
3. Click Windows Firewall
4. A New Window will appear; Click Allow an App or Feature through the Windows Firewall located along the far left side of the new Windows
5. Click the Change Settings Button; this will have a Shield on it
6. Scroll through the List and ensure the software is in the list
7. If you cannot locate the program in the list you will need to click the Allow other App button near the bottom of the Window
